Art from the Heart
My gallery is in what I call my "shed" but is, in fact, quite a nice 2-roomed summerhouse in my garden which even contains a sofa bed - and other rejects from the house!
I am mainly self-taught but studied with the Brazilian artist, Maria Teresa Bragancon, in Portugal for two years. This was when I discovered that my preference was for painting in oils, although I experimented with watercolour and acrylics. I had always enjoyed art at school but chose a different route as I had to earn a living. With children grown up and going their own way, I was able to make the first tentative steps back to creating my own pictures.
Living abroad in various countries with my husband gave me the chance to enjoy light in different areas of the world, including Africa, Far East, Middle East and Western Europe.
